See The First Photos Of Padmavati Film 

Padmavati is one of the most anticipated movies of 2017, with Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles. Since its announcement the film has faced a lot of opposition from people who claim the film will portray the characters in bad and false light. They feel there’s the film’s story has been distorted and have threatened to make its release difficult. In March the film set was vandalised by a group of men and several designer costumes and accessories were destroyed. 

The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed film depicts the life of Queen Padmavati who is married to Ratan Sen (played by Shahid Kapoor), king of the Chittor. Alauddin Khilji, the Sultan of Delhi, enamoured by her beauty, attacked Chittor to obtain her but before he could do so she committed Jauhar (self immolation) to protect her honour. 

This is the third film collaboration between director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. Bhansali has earlier directed them in Ram Leela and Bajirao Mastani
The first posters of the film were recently released. The lead actors shared them on their social media handles. Deepika Padukone, 32, who boasts of more than 19 million followers on Instagram, shared the below posters.

The photos have set the audience restless and the film is already trending online. Everything from Padukone’s clothes to her heavy jewellery is making headlines. 

And that unibrow? Did you guys notice that? It has sent ripples around. Eagerly waiting to see the looks of Shahid and Ranveer.
