Liam Payne And Cheryl Welcome Their First Child

One Direction member Liam Payne & former Girls Aloud singer Cheryl have become parents to a baby boy. The baby, born on March 22, hasn’t been named yet, but according to Cheryl and Liam’s old interviews they are inclined towards Alfie and Taylor.

Over the course of their relationship and pregnancy the couple has remained tight-lipped. Payne, 23, however, shared the news of his baby’s birth on Instagram, posting a photo of him holding the newborn.

Later, Cheryl, too, acknowledged the birth of their son, but with the same photo.

The couple has reportedly turned down several million-dollar offers from both UK and USA to release their baby’s pictures. They want to keep him away from the paparazzi as much as they can.

Cheryl and Liam first met when Liam auditioned for the X Factor UK at age 14, where Cheryl was one of the judges. Two years later Liam auditioned again, where he was teamed with Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson – making the famous boyband One Direction. The couple became friends during the show  but didn’t keep up due to their busy schedules. Cheryl and Liam finally began seeing each other in late 2015 – when she was going through a rough period following a split with her then second husband, French businessman Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, while Liam was also nursing a broken heart after splitting from Sophia Smith, his girlfriend of over two years.

Payne is the second One Direction member who has become a father. Last year Louis Tomlinson welcomed his first child, a son named Fred, with his ex Briana Jungwirth.
