Lux Golden Rose Awards 2016: What The Actresses Wore

After a movie-filled year the award season is finally here. The Lux Golden Rose Awards happened recently and was telecast this weekend.

Hosted by Shah Rukh Khan the award night was attended by big names like Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Katrina Kaif, Shahid Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Karan Johar, Malaika Arora Khan, amongst others. Katrina, Jacqueline and Sushant Singh Rajput performed on several hit numbers.

Here’s looking at what the divas wore for the glittery night.

The Best Dressed: Deepika Padukone (in Ralph & Russo) and Katrina Kaif (in Ziad Nakad) were two of the best dressed actresses.

The Glowing: Kareena Kapoor Khan wore a Gauri & Nainika red gown and looked radiant as ever.

Jacqueline Fernandez wore a beaded Paulo Sebastian gown while Anushka Sharma looked cool in a Shehlaa outfit.

The old brigade shows no sign of aging! Veteran actresses Sharmila Tagore, Madhuri Dixit and Sridevi competed with the younger actresses in the fashion department.

The Red VS Red:
Taapsee Pannu and Tamannaah Bhatia were all red for the event.

The Ruffles: Aditi Rao Hydari and Shriya Saran both wore ruffles in different ways. Whose is better? I’ll go with Aditi’s.

The Prints:
Ileana D’Cruz should have saved this printed dress for a daytime event. The newbie, Pooja Hegde wore a disastrous printed dress for her award show debut.

And THIS: Model Ankita Shorey and Malaika Arora Khan were two of the most disappointing ones. Shorey’s outfit looks cheap and totally embarrassing for a high-profile and televised event. As for Malaika, she could have done better than this. This outfit wasn’t appealing at all.
