American Music Awards 2016: Red Carpet Looks

Ah, the red carpets. I so love them. So many celebrities under one roof in the most amazing dresses, and giving us new beauty inspirations, and of course the performances by the A-list artists.

American Music Awards aka AMA took place last night and many, many, many artists descended on to be a part of it. From Selena Gomez making a post-rehab debut to Gigi Hadid hosting the show to Noah Cyrus walking the red carpet as a new artist rather than Miley Cyrus’ younger sister to Ciara debuting her baby bump to a lot – the AMAs gave us a lot.

Here are some of the red carpet looks: the best, the good, the ones I didn’t like much, and some that made us cringe.

Ciara could have done better. That turtle neck top and ruffled black and white skirt wasn’t made for the sexy woman, but considering she was debuting her unborn to the world was a distraction. Congrats Ciara!

Bella Thorne wore what others have tried and tested before. Cara Delevingne has already won this look before, so Bella, it didn’t win us, sorry.

Ariana Grande, who won Artist of the Year (yay!), was petite-perfect in a vintage lingerie top and Alexander McQueen pants.

Hailee Steinfeld did cape and shorts in this Elli Saab number.

Gigi Hadid played the cool host, but first rocked the red carpet in a white Roberto Cavalli sheer lace gown. To-be-brides, take inspiration.

Selena Gomez made her post-rehab debut in a princess avatar. Clearly one of the best-dressed. And oh, she won the Favourite Female Artist of the Year in the pop/rock category. Congrats girl.

Taraji looked like she just came from the bedroom.

Keke Palmer pulled a Rihanna in this attire. Can we have something new?

Teyana Taylor was the sexy chick at the AMAs.

Lady Gaga put her white suit forward. Does that has anything to do with Hillary Clinton?

Chrissy Teigen risked a major wardrobe malfunction in a daring black number with the highest slit ever.

[ Isn’t that too much?]

Actress Mila Jovovich wore a black number that sadly did nothing for her.

Celebrities usually go for black, white and red on the red carpet. Good to see Julianne Hough going another colour.

That’s Behati Prinsloo Levine, just a few months after giving birth.

Heidi Klum seemed like she was instead going to a pajama party and somehow landed here. Somehow

Nina Dobrev paired black and white well and wisely. And her hair was flawless.

The Fifth Harmony girls were all black and slits at the award show.

It’s not a garden party, Olivia Munn!

Hannah Davis – all purpled and shimmered.

[But this look is very JLo.]

Looks like somebody thought AMAs were a Halloween party…
