Is A New Taylor Swift Album On The Way?

If you know Taylor Swift, then you’d also know she is quite superstitious when it comes to certain numbers – she considers 13 her lucky number (even though the whole world dreads it), and always releases an album in an even year. Her debut album came in 2006, followed by Fearless in 2008, Speak Now in 2010, and Red in 2012. Her last album released in 2014, and that reminds me that maybe she’d be dropping another hit album this year.

Swift hasn’t said anything about her future album though, but it feels like it’s going to be more pop (pop-er than 1989). It might also not have any sad breakup songs, or any reference to the fella with good hair.

We all know Taylor writes songs about her personal life (read dating life). Unlike earlier relationships where the romance was too short-lived or one-sided, or the good-girl-falls-in-love-with-the-bad-guy theme, her new impending album is going to be a lot about Calvin Harris, her boyfriend since March last year. This is her longest relationship ever, and unlike previous times, she has been very vocal about this.

Talvin, as they are collectively called, have not hidden their relationship. They are often spotted on dates, and speak of each other candidly in the interviews. Harris is also a hit with her family, often spending holidays with them. The new album will have reference to Harris, and their love story, because Taylor never keeps her personal details personal.

Even though Taylor hasn’t given any hints about the new album, it is bound to come out later this year. All of her albums have released in the last three months of the year. Maybe she’d release a song in August, ahead of the VMAs? Or pull a Beyoncé and drop a surprise album in December? Who knows.
