What (And How Much) It Takes To Be Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow

She is known as the superficial celebrity who is crazy about organic food and spends heavily on expensive treatments. The 43-year-old actress and mother of two is so crazy about defying age and looking young and radiant that she doesn’t mind spending a whole room full of money. After all, she is that rich.

The Academy Award winning actress who is thought to be worth a $60 million spends nearly £14,000 a month on beautifying herself.

Miss Paltrow starts her day by immersing her face in a bowl filled with ice cold water.  She uses Stella McCartney’s Purifying Foaming Cleanser. She exfoliates only four times a week and uses organic cold pressed sesame oil or coconut oil on her face and body.

Paltrow relies on high-end brands like Restorsea, Tata Harper, SkinCeuticals and Estée Lauder among others. After bath, she uses face oil Rodin Olio Lusso which is a combination of 11 essential oils and is chemical free. She also swears by SkinCeuticals’ antioxidant serum and Intelligent Nutrients anti-ageing serum and anti-ageing mist.

At night time she uses Restorsea’s Restoring Night Cream which is worth a whooping $175 and its eye cream. For lips, she relies on Kiehl’s lip balm #1.

The ex-wife of Chris Martin not just spends bucks on expensive products but also take regular treatments at spas and salons. She takes facials once every week from celebrated facialist Sonya Dakar and swears by her Organic Omega Booster Serum and other products. Gwyneth also takes regular chemical peels, microdermabrasion, thermage lasers and collagen treatments. Thermage laser treatment cost nearly £1,400 per sitting.

The Iron Man actress is a big fan of Apple stem facials worth £1,200. The anti-ageing treatment uses extracts from an endangered Swiss apple to rejuvenate the skin. She also takes Intravenous Vitamin Therapy at the Be Hive. The treatment cost over £289 and contains a mixture of vitamins and minerals that are pumped into veins.

When she is traveling and cannot visit Sonya Dakar she uses Dr Brandt’s Laser A-Peel System which gives the effect of an in-house dermalogist peel.

Paltrow also spends heavily on her hair. She uses Shu Uemura Muroto’s Volume Pure Lightness Shampoo ($48) and conditioner. Before and after blow dry she uses Oro Fluido Beauty Elixir hair serum. Whenever she is in Los Angeles she visits Tracey Cunningham for hair colouring and conditioning treatments. She also takes Viviscal hair growth tablets.

Sharing her other secrets Gwyneth revealed that she takes an Epsom salt bath every night and uses a lot of organic essential oils in baths and is a fan of detox bath.

If these weren’t enough, hold on. Gwyneth Paltrow had revealed that she takes spa treatments that focus on private parts of the body.

£14,000 a month. That sounds outrageous to me because many a drugstore products work finely and give the same results. Plus, looking at her pics I don’t feel she is that beauty. But she has the money and the right to spend it the way she wants.
