After Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin another Hollywood couple is consciously uncoupling and the sad news is that the couple is Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner. They are taking the divorce route after ten years of marital bliss. The couple first met in 2001 on the set of Pearl Harbor but began dating in 2004. The pair married in 2005 and share three kids together – Violet (9), Seraphina Rose Elizabeth (6) and Samuel (3). The couple have been going through marital problems since the beginning and have also been consulting a marriage counsellor for years, as reported by the media, sometimes individually and at times together. The professionally talented couple has tried to resolve their differences for the sake of their children but as they say, with time the differences became too thick and wide. The reasons of the split have been directed towards Ben’s workaholic nature. FYI, Ben is a actor as well as an Academy winner director. The actor/director’s career has rose immensely since his marriage to Garner but has come at the cost of his family. His busy career has kept him away from his family for months and even when he’s home he is always thinking about the next shoot or work.

Ben’s gambling habits too widened the situation. He had apparently become too addicted toward the game and was often spotted gambling in Las Vegas. Back when he was shooting for the movie ‘Gone Girl’ there were rumors suggesting he had cheated on Jennifer with model turned actress Emily Ratajkowski though there has been no confirmation about it.

The divorce has come out after much consideration, the couple said in a joint statement. The pair continue to be friends and co-parent their three kids. They are taking every possible step to protect the kids from the public eye after the big declaration and have taken them to the Bahamas for a family holiday.
