The Downs of a Celebrity Life

They earn fat pay checks, live in grand houses in the biggest cities of the world, wear the designer clothes and drive the royalest cars. They are adored by millions of people around the world and get to be friends with the who’s who of the entertainment world. Yet there are a lot of lows of being a celeb. Some of them are listed below.

  • You are followed everywhere, literally everywhere. What you eat, where you ate, what you shopped, how many pimples or wrinkles you have – everything is noticed.

Harry Styles suffer from severe acne and without the expert hands of makeup artists, he looks like this.
  • Your personal life is never personal. The media doesn’t respect your privacy and celebs know that. This is the reason Captain America actor Chris Evans shifts his time between Los Angeles and Boston, his hometown and also why Chris Hemsworth moved back to Australia with his family for a down-to-earth lifestyle. While there are some who take advantage of the camera glares and expose themselves too much making them lend on an undesirouble spot like Kim Kardashian.
  • When you’re a public figure, sometimes your words get misinterpretated leaving you to rectify it again and again.
  • It’s hard to find yourself a longterm life partner. Celebs see each other in skimpy clothes or performing sexual scenes in movies/videos/TV shows and fall for them which often leads to relationship breakdowns with their spouses or partners. While shooting for Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart started an affair with it’s director Rupert Sanders who was already a married family man. The leaked pictures of their brief fling led to their relationship breakdowns. Rupert’s wife filed for divorce while Stewart’s beau actor Robert Pattinson too called off their relationship.

  • You also make enemies. The entertainment is too vast and it’s unnatural you won’t have people who don’t like you. Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood is allegedly about Katy Perry.
  • You come across your exes and you still have to smile because cameras are watching you. I wonder how hard it is for Brad Pitt – Jennifer Aniston, Justin Bieber – Selena Gomez, Reese Witherspoon – Jake Gyllenhaal, Taylor Swift and her many exes, Kristen Stewart – Robert Pattinson, Zac Efron – Vanessa Hudgens, Scarlett Johannson – Ryan Reynolds, Ryan Gosling – Rachel McAdams when they see each other with someone else.
  • You are called broke if you wear the same outfit more than once or twice.
  • You are called fat if you are chubby.

Selena Gomez is often termed fat and declined roles for looking too chubby and kidish.
  • Without makeup, you’re considered boring and ugly.
  • Sometimes your private moments get leaked like those of A-list people Jennifer Lawrence, Scarlett Johannson or Miley Cyrus.
  • You are shamed to have tiny tits or a tiny butt or a thin pair of lips. This triggers the celebs to go under the knife.
  • You’ve to bleach your hair for professional commitments. For instance, Ariana Grande had to dye her hair red for years for her TV show, Sam and Cat. Regular dying damaged her hair so much that Ariana had to cut them short and wear extensions and wigs.
  • Celebs can’t wear reading glasses. They look bad in them and hence some wear lenses almost all the time.
  • They are mobbed everywhere, be it airports, shopping centres, just anywhere.
  • You have to fulfill your professional commitments even if you don’t want to do. This include kissing or sex scenes in TV shows/films.
  • There is an immense pressure to look good and presentable with celebs often going for too frequent salon and spa treatments. Many celebrities go for chemical peels, botox injections, vampire facials and other out-of-the-box treatments.

Kim Kardashian is a fan of Vampire facelift.
